Welcome!

This project aims to provide some descriptions of Eurovision songs' performances. 

I called it "audiodescription", but that's a bit of a lie - it's more like a brief summary of what's going on visually. You can take a peek before watching the act or right at the start.

It's helpful for blind and low vision watchers. If you want to contribute, reach out to me on discord: ptpt9887.

2023 - Finland - Cha cha cha - Käärijä

Summary Dancers in pink and a half-shirtless man come from inside a big wooden crate. He alternates between looking fiercely powerful like a wild animal and harmlessly cute, respectivaly when he sings or screams coarsely versus when the melody kicks and his face beams cuteness. It's like going from big bear to teddy bear. Key dance: Screaming part: Crouching down, shaking head left and right, and other harsh movements. Singing part: Lifts an arm to the front and wiggles his fingers as he smiles. Then he raises and arm, bending the forearm, as if grabbing a waistcoat and bounces the arm left and right, in a dance that feels playful and silly.   Long description A blue light flashes from inside a wooden crate. A man peeks from inside, and starts breaking boards. He is kinda shirtless, only with a bright green shirt with nothing below the collabone, and spiky black pants. 2024 selection: Switzerland (winner), Croatia (real winner) and Netherlands

Switzerland - The Code - Nemo In a dark stage, a young person climbs and balances on a big metallic moving disc. In the most intense parts, some spare white lights simulate fast rotating movement. The person has short curly hair, a large, fluffy pink and white coat, and a pink ballet skirt and collants. Long description Close-up to the back of a young person who quickly turns around to us. They gesture with an arm showing us the stage, and invites us closer with their other hand, as they then walk around a big structure chained to the ceiling and come back to us.  As the pre-chorus starts, he pants as he climbs and balances on a large metallic disk, posed diagonally like a giant spinner toy. At the highest point, the disc descends to the floor with Nemo, and the other side goes up like a seesaw..  Nemo lies on the disc and sits again. 2025 - Portugal, Deslocado [PT and EN]

PT Um rapazito de 30 anos mas cara de jovem toca guitarra folk. Tem óculos redondos e cabelo steampunk veste uma camisa e calça às riscas. Há uma altura em que levanta a perna e parece o bugs bunny. Atrás tem o resto da boys band, todos em tons de castanho e branco. O palco e ecrã atrás é minimalista. Tem algumas linearts de plantas. EN A 30 year old baby-faced boy plays a folk guitar. He has steampunk hair and wears round glasses, and wears a striped light brown shirt and pants. At some point he raises his leg cartoonishly and resembles Bugs Bunny. Behind him is an indie boys band, dressed in brown and white tones. The stage and screen behind are minimalistic and have some plant and trees lineart.
